What's with this foreign song why some Filipinos make it a big hit on their music charts?

It rings a bell for Filipinos employers and Filpino Job hunters "Don't Call Me Maybe" or 'Call Me Maybe"
for when a Filipino job hunter applies for a job position one gets the uncertain promise of "We will call You"  which means either they will call or not but mostly it means One is already REJECTED...
