Magnitude 4.1 quake strikes off Zambales
Posted at 07/24/2012 9:01 AM | Updated as of 07/24/2012 4:12 PMANILA, Philippines – A magnitude 4.1 earthquake struck off Zambales before dawn Tuesday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
Phivolcs said the earthquake was recorded at 1:34 a.m. Its epicenter was located 55 kilometers southwest of San Narciso town.
The earthquake was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 1 kilometer.
No intensity was felt in any part of the region. Likewise, no damage was reported.
Phivolcs said aftershocks are not expected from the earthquake.
